Rob Pizzola: The Pro Bettor Building a Network Around Honest Betting Content

If you’ve spent any time on “Gambling Twitter,” you’ve probably come across Rob Pizzola. He’s one of its longest-running voices, a professional bettor who has turned a reputation for calling out bad betting advice into a business built around better information.

From losing bettor to modeler

Pizzola, who lives in Ontario, Canada, started the way most bettors do: losing money. What changed his results was building his own models. Over time those models developed a clear edge over the market, and he built a following by sharing his thinking publicly.

Today he bets professionally, mainly on the NFL and NHL, and describes his work as building models and helping other bettors improve their approach.

Pizzola is co-founder and CEO of The Hammer Betting Network, which brings together betting content creators with a focus on transparency about who they are and how they’ve really performed. When it launched, it signed dozens of creators within weeks.

Its flagship podcast is Circles Off, hosted by Pizzola, which launched in 2021 and has run hundreds of episodes on strategy, market analysis, and industry news. The name borrows old sportsbook slang: a “circled” game is one where a book has cut its limits because of uncertainty, such as an injury or the weather.
